Weekend Report #38 (7/13-7/15) and Giveaway Winners!

Photobucket

Weekend Report is where I share what I accomplished (book-wise) the previous week! Feel free to join along and post your own Weekend Report on your blog/site. If you do, please leave the URL in a comment below.

What I'm currently reading:

I've decided not to list the BIG books I'm reading (like Evidence for Christianity by Josh McDowell) because those are more study/help books that I might not read straight through.

  What I've read this week:

I'll be posting my review of The Rogue's Reform by Regina Scott tomorrow. Fun fact: I actually started that book when I went swimming. I wanted to read a Love Inspired book because I didn't want to read my Kindle while by/in the pool, so I decided on that one.

What I think I'll read soon:

I'll probably read one of these next (haven't decided which one yet.) :)

  1. I want to read The Secret Keeper and Swipe. Looking forward to your reviews. You had a very productive week this week! I think I have too. I finished 3 books. I'll post my weekend report tomorrow. I've been seeing Submerged around the blogs and might have to try it also.

    1. Thanks, Julie! It didn't feel that productive (reading wise) to me because it took me SO long to get through Prism. You definitely had a great reading week - three books! :) I'll be looking for your post. Oh, and I am very much looking forward to Submerged! :)

    2. Ooops, I think I got "what you are currently reading" and "what I read" mixed up when I read your post. So you finished 2 books last week. That's still not bad, the week before I only finished 1! This week I managed 3. I'm quite impressed with myself :)

  2. Hi Melanie!
I really enjoyed your weekend report! I'm reading the Anne of Green Gables series right now so this past week I've finished reading the fifth book, Annes House of Dreams which was super good! In currently almost finished with book number six, Anne of Ingleside, which I hope to finish soon. I also read Waterfall this week and really enjoyed it! I hope to read the rest of the series soon!
On my ministry blog, we post monthly book reviews so feel free to check out July's to see what I read in the month of June : http://royal-daughters-of-the-king.blogspot.com/2012/07/july-book-reviews.html
If you do decide to read A Bride Opens Shop, then I can't wait for your review since I saw it at the library the other day and would love to hear your thoughts on it! :)
    Blessings in Christ,

    1. Thanks, Bethany! I don't think I've read the Anne of Green Gables series.... So glad you really enjoyed Waterfall by Lisa Bergren! I absolutely love the River of Time series! When you get to Bourne and Tributary, I think I can lend a Kindle version if you want.

I'm going to read A Bride Opens Shop, but I don't know if that'll be the next one I read or not...

Thanks for sharing what you've been reading, Bethany, and for commenting! I really appreciate it! :) Oh, and I'm your newest blog follower! :)

    2. Hi Melanie,
You are so sweet to offer to let be borrow the e-book for the last two River of Time books. Unfortinatley, I don't have a Kindle yet, but I hope to get one in the future. Is the Kindle version something you could read on your computer or could I read it on a iPod? If not then I thank you for the offer! I hope it will work out since The River of Time series are my new favorite books and I'd love to be able to read the last two, even though they aren't in print. I wonder if they will be selling hard copies in the future?
Thank you so much for following my blog! I hope it can be a blessing to you and encourage yoy in your walk with Christ! Have a blessed day!

    4. That would be wonderful! I really like her series! I'm so glad I found your blog or I probably wouldn't have ever read the series. :) Thanks for all the great reviews and giveaways you host!
