Review: Undeniably Yours by Becky Wade

Undeniably Yours by Becky Wade
Porter Family: Book One
Bethany House / 2013

About the book:
When Meg Cole's father dies unexpectedly, she's forced to return home to Texas and to Whispering Creek Ranch to take up the reins of his empire. The last thing she has the patience or the sanity to deal with? Her father's Thoroughbred racehorse farm. She gives its manager, Bo Porter, six months to close the place down.

Bo knows he ought to resent the woman who's determined to take from him the only job he ever wanted. But instead of anger, Meg evokes within him a profound desire to protect. The more time he spends with her, the more he longs to overcome every obstacle that separates them and earn her love.

Just when Meg realizes she can no longer deny the depth of her feelings for Bo, their fragile bond is broken by a force from Meg's past. Can their relationship--and their belief that God can work through every circumstance--survive?

My thoughts:

Undeniably Yours was a cute book, but one that never really captured my attention completely. The story moved a little too slow for me and I didn't love either of the main characters (in fact, Meg frustrated me for most of the book). That said, I think Meg showed real growth towards the end and that made me like her more.

I wasn't a fan of the romance between Bo and Meg. One of the reasons being it felt like **possible spoiler** once they started dating, things moved too quickly (i.e. kissing, feelings, etc.) **end of possible spoiler**

I did really like Bo's family and look forward to Ty's book (Meant To Be Mine). The little bit we saw of him in Undeniably Yours makes me eager to see what happens in his story. :)

Another thing I liked about Undeniably Yours was the teensy bit of suspense/danger (especially the last couple chapters!)...that definitely made me turn pages quicker.

Overall, I liked Undeniably Yours. Some things weren't my cup of tea, but it was still a cute read. I think if you enjoy romance novels, you might like this book.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~ Philippians 4:8
