Review: Dark Vessel by D.I. Telbat

About the book:
D.I. Telbat continues the COIL Series suspense in Dark Vessel, Book 4, when COIL founder Corban Dowler is forced underground after he is the target of a car bomb. On the streets of Manhattan, his vigorous covert investigation begins when his Muhammad ibn Affal alias is compromised. But the knot of darkness he hopes to untangle is more sinister than he could imagine.

Italian spook, Luigi Putelli, rises to the COIL challenge, and attempts to stand vigil in Corban's absence. Luigi scours the world to help those in need—even when his past threatens to stop him. From New Jersey, to Bangladesh, to Nigeria, Luigi is determined to serve Corban's God.

Chloe Azmaveth, ex-Mossad agent, hunts down every clue she can find to locate Corban. The web of deceit grows complicated as a government agency goes rogue to cover up a deadly secret. The closer she gets to Corban, the more her hope wanes, and it seems that Corban Dowler may be beyond saving!

Join COIL in Dark Vessel by D.I. Telbat, with cover design by Streetlight Graphics, as it rallies its best agents for a battle against darkness from the streets of New York to the tropics of the Caribbean. With evil forces at work, and the Dark Vessel raising his ugly head, we learn that…there is no redemption without sacrifice.

My thoughts:

Dark Vessel is the fourth book in the COIL series and another good suspense! I liked how Corban was back to being a main character in the book. In the last book, Dark Rule, he didn't appear that much, so Dark Vessel felt more like the first two books and I loved that!

The story had suspense, some intense moments, and great characters. I loved that Corban went into hiding so he could investigate without the people who targeted him with the car bomb knowing he survived the attack. That made the story even more interesting to me. :)

All in all, Dark Vessel was a great read and if you enjoy Christian suspense, I think you'll enjoy this series. I'm looking forward to reading the next book!

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~ Philippians 4:8
