Review + Giveaway: ESV Illuminated Bible, Art Journaling Edition

My thoughts:

This ESV Illuminated Bible is so pretty and very well made. The Bible comes with a sturdy slipcase that helps protect the Bible when not in use. The pages are gold edged and thicker than normal Bibles.

I love the illustrations throughout the Bible. Each book has its own artwork for the title page related to something from that book. If you read the note at the back of the Bible, there are reasons for all of the designs. I found this interesting and very neat.

There are also full-page illustrations for certain verses, as well as little ones for other verses or just simple designs. I've included some images to show how pretty they are.

One thing I want to mention is that this is not a study Bible. It doesn't have a concordance or footnotes. That doesn't bother me since I have other Bibles with that; so, when I am doing a deeper study I will just use one of them.

All in all, this is a gorgeous Bible and perfect for gift-giving. I'm not someone who currently journals in the Bible (I much prefer a separate notebook), but if you do there is definitely ample space for it. I highly recommend the ESV Illuminated Bible!

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~ Philippians 4:8
