Monthly Reflections ~ January 2018

Monthly Reflections, where we take the time to reflect on the previous month.

It's been a while since my last Monthly Reflections post (ahem, about 15 months), but I thought it was time to bring this feature back and I'm hoping to do these consistently in 2018. :))

Books Read In January:

  1. Captured by Love by Jody Hedlund
  2. Blind Spot by Dani Pettrey
  3. The Reluctant Duchess by Roseanna M. White
  4. A Lady Unrivaled by Roseanna M. White
  5. Shielding His Christmas Witness by Laura Scott
  6. A Cast of Stones by Patrick W. Carr
Favorite Read of the Month:

The Reluctant Duchess by Roseanna M. White

Some Books I Added to My TBR Pile This Month:

The first one I just bought yesterday (it was on sale -- yay!), the second one is a recent Kindle freebie purchase, and the last four are NetGalley review books.

-Get NetGalley ratio to 65%
  • Currently at 54%, but I still have two reviews to add.
-Finish at least 12 nonfiction books (hopefully 1 each month).
  •  0/12
-Finish at least 5 series.
  •  2/5
-Finish at least 20 Love Inspired books.
  • 1/20
Finished 4 out of the 12 books so far. I feel really good about that.

My Goals for February:
  • Read 1 Nonfiction
  • Read 4 books from my Winter TBR Pile.
  • Read 3 Love Inspired books
  • Finish The Staff and the Sword series (books 2&3)
  • Increase my NetGalley score by at least 2%.

Now it's your turn! What did you accomplish in January, what do you hope to accomplish in February?

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~ Philippians 4:8
