Thank you for having me! I am a full-time teacher and part-time writer. I live in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina with my husband and two children.
What is Chop, Chop about?
It is a contemporary Christian fiction novel about a young man named David and his relationship with two friends – Greg and Laci. As the three grow closer, David’s relationship with God grows as well, but then a tragedy strikes and David must struggle to find his way back to God. Chop, Chop takes place from the time David is in the 7th grade until his senior year in college and (because of this) it is often pegged as a “young adult” novel. Demographics, however, show that women between the ages of 25 and 55 are my main audience (especially for the sequels!)
That I’m female. As an author I go by “L.N. Cronk” and tell my stories from a male’s point of view, so they often assume that I’m a man.
When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I have been writing stories ever since I was a little girl.
How many books have you written/published and do you have a favorite?
I have just released Book 7 in the Chop, Chop series. I would have to say that Book 1 – Chop, Chop – is probably my favorite since the others couldn’t exist without it. I also like it because it is a stand-alone novel - even though it is the first in a series, it doesn’t leave you hanging!
What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?
Where do you like to write?
Curled up in bed with my laptop.
What do you like to do when you're not writing?
Read (also while curled up in bed)!
Is there a place you’d like to visit, but haven’t yet?
I would love to visit the Holy Land and Italy.
Do you have a favorite song and/or movie?
My favorite song of all time is Revelation Song by Phillips, Craig and Dean. I also like Forrest Gump a lot!
What is your favorite dessert?
Double-Stuf Oreos!
Do you have a favorite Bible verse?
John 14:2 - In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. I love this, not just because it gives us a glimpse of what we have to look forward to, but because (in my opinion) it means that Jesus knew what the disciples believed and He was telling them that He would have set them straight if their beliefs were wrong. It’s kind of hard to explain, but that’s very important to me.
Here are a few this-or-that questions:
Snowstorms or Thunderstorms?
Both!
Tea or Coffee?
Neither!
Movie Theater or DVD?
I rarely have time for either, but I like going to the movies when I have the chance.
Early-bird or Night-owl?
A weird mix of both! I like sleeping in and staying up late, but am usually forced to do just the opposite.
Cats or Dogs?
Dogs.
I am about halfway through Book 8 in the Chop, Chop series – Alone, (which I hope to have finished by the end of the summer). I am also working on two companion novels that will follow.
Thanks so much for being here! Is there anything else you’d like to tell readers and where can we find you on the web?
Yes! I would like for everyone to know that Chop, Chop is FREE for Kindle and Nook. It is currently the top-rated free book in Kindle Fiction and is also on the best seller list for Religious Fiction. As I said earlier, Chop, Chop is a stand-alone novel, but there are sequels for those who would like to follow the characters further. Thank you SO much for having me here – many blessings to you! You can find me at my website (www.LNCronk.com) as well as on my Amazon author page (www.amazon.com/author/lncronk) and on the Chop, Chop Facebook fan page (http://www.facebook.com/ReadChopChop). Thanks again!

ReplyDeleteThis book and its sequels are amazing. Probably the best Christian fiction I have ever read. I let myself have a good 20 minute cry after Chop, Chop.
ReplyDeleteLove these books, and Leeann is wonderful writer and person!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the next book!!!
ReplyDeleteI have read the entire series 3 times and will probably continue to re-read it! The books are wonderful and give a real life perspective of being a normal Christian and the struggles to remain faithful that we all face. I rarely recommend a book, let alone an entire series - but this is a "must-have" for any Christian, young or old! Can't wait for book 8!!!
