On My Wishlist is a weekly meme started by Book Chick City and is now hosted by Workaday Reads. It's where we share books we desperately want but haven't actually gotten yet. They can be old, new, or forthcoming.
Here are ten books that are on my ever-growing wishlist. :)
~1~
Stranded by Dani Pettrey
Alaskan Courage series: Book Three
About the book:
When her friend vanishes from a cruise ship, reporter Darcy St. James isn't satisfied with their explanation that she simply left her job of her own accord. Something isn't lining up, and Darcy believes the only way to find the truth is to put herself in Abby's position. Within days, Darcy learns her friend wasn't the only person to disappear mysteriously. Last summer, a woman vanished under almost identical circumstances.
Gage McKenna has taken a summer-long stint leading adventure excursions for the passengers of various cruise lines that dock for a few days of sightseeing. He's surprised to find Darcy working aboard one of the ships, investigating a troubling report. Something sinister is going on and the deeper they dig the more Gage fears they've only discovered the tip of the iceberg.
Why it's on my wishlist:
I LOVED the first two books in this series and can hardly wait to read the next addition to the McKennas journey.

Tomorrow We Die by Shawn Grady
Bethany House / 2010
Find on: Amazon, Goodreads
About the book:
Jonathan Trestle is a paramedic who's spent the week a few steps behind the angel of death. When he responds to a call about a man sprawled on a downtown sidewalk, Trestle isn't about to lose another victim. CPR revives the man long enough for him to hand Trestle a crumpled piece of paper and say, "Give this to Martin," before being taken to the hospital.
The note is a series of dashes and haphazard scribbles. Trestle tries to follow up with the patient later, but at the ICU he learns the man awoke, pulled out his IVs, and vanished, leaving only a single key behind. Jonathan tracks the key to a nearby motel where he finds the man again--this time not just dead but murdered. Unwilling to just let it drop, Jonathan is plunged into a mystery that soon threatens not only his dreams for the future but maybe even his life.
Why it's on my wishlist:
I love suspense books and Tomorrow We Die sounds like a great one!

Deadly Reunions series: Book Three
Revell / Expected Publication: May, 2013

Senator Frank Hoffman committed murder ten years ago--and Jillian watched it happen.
Didn't she?
Not even the enigmatic and attractive Colton Brady, her ex-boyfriend and nephew of the killer, will be able to make her leave this alone. Get ready for the spine-tingling, nail-biting conclusion to an explosive series.
Why it's on my wishlist:
Can hardly wait to read this book and find out what had happened all those years ago. :)

But it doesn't take long for them to realize that there is much more to the case than meets the eye. As they venture deep into a sinister world of human trafficking, Avery and Jackson are taken to the very edge of their abilities--and their hearts.
Dangerous Passage exposes a fully-realized and frightening world where every layer peeled back reveals more challenges ahead. Romantic suspense fans will be hooked from the start by Lisa Harris's first installment of the new Southern Crimes series.
Why it's on my wishlist:
I don't think I've read any of Lisa Harris's previous books, but Dangerous Passage sounds like a great book to introduce me to her work.

Why it's on my wishlist:
Sounds like a great read and I've enjoyed every Mary Connealy book I've read so far. :)

The Governess and Mr. Granville by Abby Gaines
The Parson's Daughters series: Book Two
Love Inspired Historical / 2012
About the book:
Dominic Granville needs a wife—whether he wants one or not! And governess Serena Somerton intends to find one for him. A marriage of convenience would provide the wealthy widower's five children with a mother's tender care. And yet none of Dominic's prospective brides can meet Serena's increasingly high standards.
Unconventional, certainly. Outspoken, to be sure. Even so, Miss Somerton's quirks can't curb Dominic's growing interest in the spirited young woman. After his wife's death, Dominic was sure he couldn't love again. But faced with the prospect of losing Serena to another, one fact becomes clear. His imperfect governess could be his ideal wife.
Why it's on my wishlist:
After reading the first book in this series, The Earl's Mistaken Bride, I've been wanting to read this one. Sounds really good.

Doctor in Petticoats by Mary Connealy
Sophie's Daughters series: Book One
Barbour Books / 2010
About the book:
Doctor Alex Buchanan is a wanted man--a deseter from the army stalked by a bounty hunter--but he'd rather be dead than inflict any more pain on his patients. Beth McClellan is idealistic, believing the nursing training she received will be enough to help her serve as doctor to her home town in West Texas. When Alex and Beth meet in a stagecoach accident, they find that they work well together. But are his demons and her dreams too deeply rooted for either of them to pay the price required for a future together?
Why it's on my wishlist:
Pretty much the same reasons Cowboy Christmas is on my wishlist - sounds good and I've been wanting to read some of Mary Connealy's older books.

Rock Harbor series
Thomas Nelson / 2012
About the book:
As Christmas day nears, Bree and her faithful search-and-rescue dog Samson follow the trail of a troubling mystery into the snowy forests of Rock Harbor.
Bree Matthews is preparing for Christmas guests, but her heart is reeling from the recent and tender loss of her unborn child. Her sister-in-law, Lauri, suddenly turns up on the doorstep of the lighthouse home Bree shares with her husband, Kade, in Rock Harbor. Secretive and withdrawn, Lauri seems curiously intent on discovering what happened to a parachuter who disappeared in the North Woods along Lake Superior's icy shore.
As Bree and Samson, her search-and-rescue dog, plunge into the search, Bree wonders if Lauri may know more than she’s admitted about the parachuter. And then the clues lead them to the trail of a young woman whose family fears the worst about her disappearance.
Will the search on this snowy, silent night lead Bree and Samson to more than clues about the missing girl? And will Bree’s prayer for a baby ever be answered?
Why it's on my wishlist:
I absolutely loved the Rock Harbor series! I was very excited to hear about this new novella with Bree, her family, and Samson! I hope I'm able to get a copy of the book soon. :)
