The Reader Problems – #BookTag

I found this tag on The Book Hooked Nook and thought it looked so fun! I hope you guys enjoy this post. Let me know if you'd like to see more of these type of posts on the blog. ;)

---

Q1: You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?
-Challenges. I'm usually always participating in some type of reading challenge and my reading typically revolves around what is needed for that round/task. :))

Q2: You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?
-It depends...if it is a part of a series that I'm invested in, I will most likely finish it. If it's a standalone or new-to-me author and I'm not enjoying it, I may DNF.

Q3: The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try and catch up and how?
-YES! I definitely like to complete the Goodreads' reading challenge and I'd probably try to fit in several short books just to reach my goal. LOL!

Q4: The covers of a series do. not. match. How do you cope?
-It doesn't bother me at all.

Q5: Everyone and their mother loves a book you don’t really like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?
-I search Goodreads or Amazon for reviews and see if anyone feels the way I do. Most of the time there are some blogging friends that have similar thoughts.

Q6: You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?
-Ummm. I probably have to put the book away and continue it later.

Q7: A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads? Cry in frustration?!?!?!?
-I know the best thing would be for me to reread the prior novel, but I usually don't have the time to do that so I'll just read reviews and such on the previous book to refresh my memory. :)

Q8: You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?
-Except for a few special novels, I don't mind people borrowing my books (as long as they give them back! lol!).

Q9: Reading ADD. You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?
-Usually my reading slumps are due to busyness, so once life slows down a little I can start finishing books again. On the rare occasions when I just don't feel like reading, I'll try to switch up book genres (fiction/nonfiction, romance/thriller, contemporary/historical, etc.), try listening to audiobooks, or reread a favorite book.

Q10: There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?
-Thanks to NetGalley and other review places, I am blessed to get a lot of the books I'm dying to read for review and therefore I don't actually need to buy many of the books on my wishlist. I'm also trying to be frugal and typically only buy books if they are on sale or a new release from a favorite author that I wasn't able to get for review.

Q11: After you’ve bought the books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?
-Do I have to answer this?? I have some books that I bought thinking I HAVE to read this NOW and it's been years and I haven't even started them...crazy, I know.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~ Philippians 4:8
