My thoughts on September:
Very surprised with how much I was able to read last month, considering how busy of a month it was! I'm hoping October will be another great reading month. ;)
Looking ahead:
My goal for October:
Finished 10 books, including:
September's and October's Random Reads

Now it's your turn! What did you accomplish in September, what do you hope to accomplish in October?
My second time participating in this meme. So far, I've loved the books that have been chosen by Random.org! This month it picked #820, which is The World of Jesus. A perfect choice because I was trying to decide what nonfiction book to read next. ;) I haven't gotten my September "random read" finished yet, but I'm hoping to get to it within the next couple weeks.
Know Jesus Better by Understanding What Shaped His World
Sometimes it's hard to find your bearings in the New Testament, as you enter the time and place of Jesus and His disciples. There are confusing practices, new people groups, and even unexplained religious conflicts. How did it all come about?
Dr. William Marty walks you through the history leading up to the arrival of Jesus in order to help you better understand His life and teachings. He answers such questions as:
• Why did "Israelites" start being called "Jews"?
• What's a "synagogue" and what happened to worshiping in the temple?
• Who were the Pharisees and why was Jesus so upset with them?
• Why didn't anyone like the Samaritans?
Get to know the times in which Jesus lived, so you'll better understand His teaching and ministry. And along the way, discover how God prepared the world for the One who would turn it upside down.

Congrats on getting so much reading done! I barely got any reading done these past few weeks! Hoping I can read a lot this month as well! Hope you enjoy this month's Random Read! I have that one on my Kindle, but haven't read it yet!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura! I'm hoping it's a good nonfiction read ;) Hope you like your random read too!

ReplyDeletehere is my monthly reflection: http://superbookgrl13.blogspot.com/2014/10/monthly-reflections-2.html
I would love to do the random reads twice a month, but with tour books and such, I don't think I can fit more than one in my reading schedule.
DeleteThanks for participating! I left a comment on your post ;)
