Leaving: Bailey Flanigan Series (Book 1) - Karen Kingsbury

Leaving by Karen Kingsbury

My rating: PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

It's been awhile since I read 'Take Four' so I didn't remember where that book had left off, but once I started 'Leaving' I was captivated again by Bailey and Cody's relationship.

Bailey auditions for a Broadway Musical and Cody takes a coaching job in a small community outside Indianapolis to be closer to his mother who is in jail. Also, Ashley worries about her husband's, Landon's, cough. He's a firefighter and volunteered at Ground Zero and now Ashley worries that may be the reason for his cough.

Be prepared to tear up when reading 'Leaving'... it made me cry. The story is well written and I anticipate the future release of the rest of the Bailey Flanigan Series.

  1. I am a Kingsbury fan and a Baxter fan. But my disappointment in the finale of the Bailey Flanigan Series can't be exaggerated. After reading that much and anticipating the touching final union of Bailey and Cody, I just don't understand why that did not happen!! I can't be the only one who feels this way. I didn't even finish Book 4. Will someone please rewrite Book 4?

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~ Philippians 4:8
