ESV Men's Devotional Bible
ISBN-13: 978-1433548413

Our world presents daily distractions that can easily displace Christ as the center of a man’s heart and life. The goal of the ESV Men’s Devotional Bible is to strengthen and encourage men through the life-giving Word of God and sound devotional content aimed at nurturing godliness.

With 365 theologically rich and gospel-centered devotions drawn directly from the Bible, this all-new resource was created under the editorial oversight of Dr. Sam Storms with contributions from over fifty Christian leaders. Introductions orient men to each book of the Bible, exploring its unique contribution to a man’s walk with God. Thoughtful and instructive articles address the importance of sound doctrine, life in the local church, leadership, the heart, calling, and a host of other relevant issues for today.

The Men’s Devotional Bible will strengthen men in their walk with Christ, helping them apply the gospel and the truth of God's Word in their homes, churches, and workplaces.

My thoughts:

The ESV Men's Devotional Bible is a quality Bible with over 300 devotionals, introductions for each book of the Bible, and several articles and resources in the back. The devotionals are placed in such a way that they apply to the chapter of the Bible that you just read or are still reading. The Bible is a good size and not too bulky/heavy, The black jacket/cover is perfect for giving it a masculine feel.

All in all, the ESV Men's Devotional Bible is a great new devotional Bible for men and I think it's also a great gift idea. I definitely recommend it!

  1. If I won, I would like to give this to my husband. He needs a good devotional and a new Bible. He has one of those old paperback ones and it is getting pretty old. Thanks!

  2. This is the perfect Bible for any husband. I would love to give one to mine. He is in the Word daily, if not multiple times. The ESV is one of my favorite translations, but my husband hasn't had the luxury or desire to try it out, but I think he would really like it.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~ Philippians 4:8
