Review: The Goodbye Bride by Denise Hunter

About the book:
She only remembers loving him. But he can’t forget the way she left.

Lucy Lovett can’t remember the last seven months of her life. She doesn’t remember leaving her fiancé Zac Callahan weeks before their wedding or moving to Portland, Maine. And she sure doesn’t remember getting engaged to another man. All she remembers is loving Zac more than life itself.

Zac was just beginning to get his life back on track after Lucy left him with no explanation. And now she’s back—vulnerable, homeless, and still in love with him. Has he been given a second chance with the only woman who stirs his passion and haunts his dreams?

Lucy knows she must unlock those missing months and discover why she threw everything away. And Zac knows that if he follows his heart he’ll win back the love of his life—but if Lucy’s memory returns, his would-be bride might say goodbye forever.

My thoughts:

The Goodbye Bride was just as good as I expected it to be! I've loved every contemporary romance novel by Denise Hunter I've read and consider her one of my top authors for the genre. Her stories are always so captivating and good!

I loved the story of second chance love. Lucy and Zac were such charming main characters and really made me feel for them and hope that they would rekindle their relationship.

I'm also a huge fan of books with amnesia (don't know why, but when a story has that, it usually makes me really interested in seeing if they ever regain their memory). So I loved that part of The Goodbye Bride and the mystery of what happened during the "missing months".

All in all, I loved this book and recommend it if you like contemporary romance novels. Such a great book!

  2. Cannot wait to read this one. I bought a copy instead of reviewing it because I knew fitting it in as a review copy was no good just now. Glad it leaves an impression - with a storyline as it has, I would expect nothing less. :)
