My Thoughts:

I wasn't familiar with Amy Grant prior to this album. I mean, I had heard of her and probably heard some of her songs (because she is so popular), but I didn't really know her music. I didn't know what to expect from Tennessee Christmas, but after listening to the entire album, I have to say I'm a little disappointed, because it's not something I will probably listen to much again.

I liked the song Christmas Don't Be Late and I liked the personal talking during some of the songs; but, Joy To The World, which I thought would be my favorite of the album, was just too slow of a version for me and felt sad/melancholy.

Overall, I'd have to say that, for me, the songs on this album are just too sad/slow and don't really give me that "Christmas" feel I like in Christmas music. If you are a fan of Amy Grant's music, perhaps you'll like this album...it just wasn't for me. :/

  1. OH I love Amy Grant! I have a couple of her tapes (and yes, I said tapes!) Now that is not saying that I would automatically love this CD but I will
give it a listen to check it out.
Thanks for the review. I didn't even know she had a new one out.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~ Philippians 4:8
