About the book:
Finn has packed away his combat instincts--but he may need them again when danger begins to stalk his quiet hideaway . . .
After a disastrous Middle East mission ends his six-year Army Ranger career, Finn McGregor needs some downtime. A peaceful month in the woods sounds like the perfect way to decompress. But peace isn't on the agenda once he crosses paths with publishing executive Dana Lewis, a neighbor who is nursing wounds of her own. Someone seems bent on disrupting her stay in the lakeside cabin she inherited from her grandfather. As Finn and Dana work together to discover who is behind the disquieting pranks, the incidents begin to take on a menacing tone. And when it becomes apparent Dana's foe may have deadly intent, Finn finds himself back in the thick of the action--ready or not.

My thoughts:

Tangled Webs, the final book in Irene Hannon's Men of Valor series, was a very good romantic suspense. I liked the setting and the opening scene was crazy (I could really feel for the heroine, because it would be frightful for that to happen to someone).

The romance was sweet. I think because both characters were dealing with things, it made it even more romantic to see them start to fall for each other. The ending was also intense.

All in all, I loved this book. It was a phenomenal ending to the series and I can't wait to read Hannon's next suspense! I definitely recommend these books.

  1. I love Irene’s books. She writes about places I’ve been in St. Louis. The tea room from one of her books was right across from my Church on Clayton Road. Then it moved next to my Optometrist about half a mile from my house! Love her stories, too! I need to catch up. I know I’ve read Thin Ice but don’t remember if I’ve read Buried Secrets. Guess Ill start from the beginning and binge! Thanks for the review.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~ Philippians 4:8
