Review: Tyson's Run

About the movie:
Synopsis:
When fifteen-year-old Tyson attends public school for the first time, his life is changed forever. While helping his father clean up after the football team, Tyson befriends champion marathon runner Aklilu. Never letting his autism hold him back, Tyson becomes determined to run his first marathon in hopes of winning his father's approval.
With the help of an unlikely friend and his parents, Tyson learns that with faith in yourself and the courage to take the first step, anything is possible.

My thoughts:

Tyson's Run was a good movie. I liked the characters and seeing how the story progressed. While parts of the story went as I expected, there were still moments that surprised me (in a good way) and that kept me invested in the storyline.

I liked how the movie was pretty clean and yet also realistic. I felt bad for Tyson when the kids were so mean to him, but I loved his spirit of perseverance and determination. It was inspiring to watch him go against the odds and train for the marathon.

All in all, Tyson's Run was a good movie that I enjoyed watching.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~ Philippians 4:8
