Summer Lovin’ Read-a-Thon: Wrap-Up Post

My goal was to finish four books and I barely made it (I finished Ruby Red just a few minutes before midnight CST). I'm so happy that I was able to reach my goal!!

Here are the books I finished:

My favorite read would have to be A Tailor-Made Bride, though Anomaly is a close second! :D

I also started and read around 50 pages of this book:

Very creepy so far!

So there you have it. That's what I was able to accomplish during this read-a-thon.

Summer Lovin’ Read-a-Thon: Day Five

Share your progress – How many books have you read so far? Have you gotten off track? What are your plans for the rest of the read-a-thon?

This week has been super busy and I haven't had my usual amount of reading time. So far, I've only finished one book (Small Town Girl), am halfway done with A Tailor-Made Bride, and 24 pages into Anomaly. All great books! :) I probably won't be able to complete my goal of four books, but I'll try!

Summer Lovin’ Read-a-Thon: Day Four

Share a quote from your current read or tell us about a book that really pulled on your heart strings. What was it about that book/quote that made you cry?

Easy question! Inside Threat pulled on my heartstrings more than any other book - at least as far as I can remember. Tears were pouring down my face when I was reading the last couple chapters and for a long time afterward. It's been over two years since I've read that book, but I still get teary-eyed just thinking about it! It's hard to say, without spoilers, the exact reason it was such an emotional read, so I'll just say that is was a beautiful and moving story of love and sacrifice.

Summer Lovin’ Read-a-Thon: Day Three

Who is your absolute favorite fictional female? What makes her so awesome?

I don't have one absolute favorite fictional female, so it's very difficult for me to answer that question. It'd be much easier for me to name my favorite fictional male, as there is one character (Luca from the River of Time series by Lisa T. Bergren) that just takes the cake in that category. :)

Anyway, a favorite female character that comes to mind right now is Callie from Over the Edge by Mary Connealy. I just loved what a spitfire she was and how she was such a strong woman (especially in the opening scene!).

Summer Lovin’ Read-a-Thon: Day One

My favorite genre is suspense/thriller and/or romantic suspense, but I'm very eclectic and enjoy most genres. I've been blogging for a little over two years and love it! Besides reading, I also enjoy crocheting when I have time, listening to music, and watching NHL games.

My goal for this read-a-thon is to read at least 4 books. I'd love to read/finish four of the following books:
