Fall Into Reading 2012: Goals

Challenge takes place from 9/22-12/21

Okay, well I wasn't sure I was going to participate in this, but since a friend of mine is going to, I decided to do it! It sounds like a lot of fun, but it'll be a challenge to actually list the books I will read this fall. :D LOL! That changes all-the-time!

Anyway, want to find out what Fall Into Reading is all about? Here is the link to the main post.
My Goal:

I'd love to read all of the following books this fall, but I don't think I'll be able to read that many. LOL! So I hope to read 40 of these books - not completely in order:

Okay, I know what you might be thinking "that is a long list" and I agree with you! I just don't know how to make it any shorter! I want to read all of those books this fall, but I don't know if I'll be able to... I can normally read 10 books a month easily, but 60 books in 3 months will be a huge challenge! Hope I can at least reach 40. :D

So that is what I hope to read this fall, what about you? Please share! :)

  1. You and Crystal convinced me, so I'm in. :) My goal is 45 books - which is WAY more than I can probably do. I just don't know how to get to some of these awesome books that I've been putting off for so long...

    1. Glad you are participating!! I had hoped you would. :)

That was my exact problem! There are SO many books I want to read, but I don't think I'll be able to read them all this fall. I'm going to try my best, though. :)

I hope you make your goal, Brooke! Expect tweets from me to see how you are doing. :)

  3. Well between you, Megan, and Brooke I decided to sign-up too! You have a great list of books! Around 20 of them I've either read or have on my fall list and then there are a bunch that I want to read but didn't put on my list! Good luck!

  4. Nice! I like that you put the covers instead of just a list!
    Good luck Melanie!

    1. Thanks, Wendy! Yeah, I like putting covers because they are more eye-catching. :D

    2. How does one show the covers and not just the list? Also, are all those books "Clean" Romances?

    3. I add the book covers to the post instead of typing up the books in a list. :) I haven't read the books, yet, so I can't say if they are all clean or not, but most/all of them are Christian fiction. :)

  5. I will not list the books I am going to read as God leads me there. I write reviews of the books I read. I hope to read from two to three books a month. I got bogged down with one this month and gave up on it. But then the one I am reviewing now I read in three days. So I hope to read 20 to 30 books.

    1. I hope you are able to reach your goals! I normally don't like listing the book I want to read because it is REALLY hard for me to stick to it, but I'm going to try this time. :)

  6. Good morning, Melanie!
Some of those books happen to also be on my TBR pile
Including : Sixty Acres and a Bride, With Every Letter, A Love Surrendered, A Lasting Impression, A Light in the Window. And I've also got books by Beth Vogt, Dani Pettrey, Krista Philips, Jenny B Jones, Beth Moore and others waiting for me right now.

Yeah, how about we say a prayer for readers? So many books so little time.

I like your blog, by the way. Happy reading!

    :-)

I'm so glad you like my blog - thank you! And I hope you enjoy the books you read. :)

  7. Wow Melanie! That's a lot of books! There is no way I could even set that high of a goal. I have however read 8 of the books that you have in your TBR pile. I read the O'Connor series by Julie Lessman out of order. So I read all of the Winds of Change first and then started A Passion Most Pure. I didn't realize that they were all part of the same series :p

I have the 7 hour series on my Kindle and a couple of the other books you have listed to read. Good luck with your goal! I'm just trying to make my goal for Goodreads! ha! According to it I am 5 books behind on reaching 125 this year. There are just not enough hours in my day anymore since I am also trying to get Christmas gifts made. What a dilemma huh?

  15. Ugh. When I see all your pictures, I just have to comment and give more specific thoughts. So here we go. :)

Loved "A Hope Undaunted" by Julie Lessman! Enjoyed "A Heart Revealed" too, but not as much. Both had a little too much...description in some parts -- while not SUPER descriptive, still very passionate. A bit more than I would have liked. So I don't whole-heartedly recommend them, but they're very good. :)

Can't wait to read Sarah Sundin's "With Every Letter"! Loved her Wings of Glory books...I've read #1 and #3.

"Echoes of Titanic," great one. :)

Read half of "A Lasting Impression" and wasn't able to finish, though I really wanted to. Not the books fault, just a family thing. BUT the part I read was awesome! And I love the cover.

Can't wait to read "Trinity" by Ronie Kendig, it looks great!

And just finished "When a Heart Stops" by Lynette Eason. That's an awesome one.

Love the covers on "Lady Anne's Quest" and "The Messenger." Both on my to-read list!

Ah. That's good. Very good. Again, can't wait for your reviews!

    1. Thank you, Charity! I know what you're talking about with the "passion" in Julie Lessman's books - that is why I only recommend them for mature readers who don't mind some "passion" in books. :)

Thanks for this great comment - I agree with most of what you said! I can hardly wait to read Trinity and When a Heart Stops... both sound like they are going to be FANTASTIC books. :)
