#BoutofBooks Read-a-Thon Starting 8/13!! My Goals

Bout of Books Read-a-Thon

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 13th and runs through Sunday, August 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 5.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. -From the Bout of Books 5.0 team

TIME DEVOTED TO READING
I will be reading as often as I can during this read-a-thon.

MY GOALS
My goal is to read 2,000 pages during the read-a-thon

BOOKS TO READ DURING THE READ-A-THON:
(in no particular order)

Enemies of the Cross by Greg Mitchell (319 pages)

Veil of Pearls by MaryLu Tyndall (312 pages)

Short-Straw Bride by Karen Witemeyer (363 pages)

Lily by Diane T. Ashley and Aaron McCarver (319 pages)

Echoes of Titanic by Mindy Starns Clark and John Campbell Clark (385 pages)

The Widow of Saunders  Creek by Tracey Bateman (312 pages)

A Bride Opens Shop in El Dorado, California by Keli Gwyn (313 pages)

For a total of 2323 pages if I end up being able to read all of those books! I’ll post updates on Twitter (@LoveBeingVegan) with the hashtag #BoutOfBooks and occasionally on Facebook throughout the read-a-thon. I'll post a final post here (on my blog) once the read-a-thon is over.

So, what do you think of read-a-thons? Have you ever participated in one?

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ~ Philippians 4:8
